    I have spent all I have in courts and lawyers for my childrens sake, and need to learn how to file motions on my own. Any help for men out there?How do i file motion to modify child support on my own w/o attorneys this time?http://tinyurl.com/ChildSupportModificat鈥?/a>

    \\\\\\\\\\\\How do i file motion to modify child support on my own w/o attorneys this time?
    You should contact your county Child Support Enforcement Agency along with a letter stating why you need to modify your child support. I know here in Ohio the Father can only do it once every 3 years, but a mother can do it once a year. If you are the Father make sure you have pay stubs to back up your findings and any reasons for the modifications. Hope this helps.How do i file motion to modify child support on my own w/o attorneys this time?You're not alone. My husband went through the exact same thing recently! To do this without an attorney, you would need to go where your child custody hearing is taking place. Go to the Law Library, if not you can always go online and get it through the court's website Self-Help/Self-Service link and download and print out the "Modification of Child Custody" form. Think really good at how will answer the questions or any statements you will make on the forms! Avoid anything too bias or hateful toward your children's mother. Best advise? Always-always-always, make a good impression by being the most concerned, nurturing, protective, unbiased parent the entire time. Displaying this attitude or behavior in front of the judge will definitely be in your favor. Once you've completed the "Modification of Child Custody" form, you would then need to take it to the court's clerk to file it and typically you will have to mail out a notice you have file this petition to your children's mother. So from there, it starts, depending whether the judge grants or denies your petition for modification. Good luck!How do i file motion to modify child support on my own w/o attorneys this time?
    To file a motion w/o an attorney, you will have to go to courthouse and file a motion with the circuit court clerk. They will then advise you of a court date and you will have to appear before a judge to give your reasons for the modifications. Good Luck!How do i file motion to modify child support on my own w/o attorneys this time?i know that when i ran out of money for family court i told my attorney and asked him if i could pay him for legal advice and not representation. he did so the way it worked was he got me all the forms, showed me how to fill things out, what to expect in court etc. he just doesnt go to court with you on your behalf. try that i hope your attorney will do that for you it saved me sooooooo much money and things went in my favor

    What is meant by the expression Simple Harmonic Motion?

    What is meant by the expression Simple Harmonic Motion?

    (a) acceleration is proportional to the distance from a fixed point

    (b) velocity is proportional to the distance from a fixed point

    (c) a simple pendulum

    (d) any motion which is oscillatory

    (e) none of the other answers are correct

    I thought it was d but not quite sureWhat is meant by the expression Simple Harmonic Motion?(D) is certainly not an answer because mostly all oscillating motion is not simple harmonic. (A) cannot be an answer because the acceleration is not always proportional to the distance from a fixed position. For example, when thinking of a simple pendulum, there are 2 distances away from the fixed position where no acceleration is present (the two end points where they change directions). A simple pendulum (C) is an example of simple harmonic motion, so it is the answer by eliminating the other ones.

    CWhat is meant by the expression Simple Harmonic Motion?No, it is A, which includes C

    In simple harmonic motion, the further the weight is pulled off the center, the greater the force in proportion to the distance - this might be caused by a spring or gravity

    When released F=MA applies so acceleration is proportional ... etc.What is meant by the expression Simple Harmonic Motion?no D is not correct any oscillatory motion isn't simple harmonic.. C is the correct option here :PPP

    How are motion sensors or motion sensing equipment used in the real world?

    Also, I would like to now how each individual thing works. How are motion sensors or motion sensing equipment used in the real world?Motion detection is the action of sensing physical movement in a given area.

    Motion can be detected by measuring change in speed or vector of an object or objects in the field of view. This can be achieved either by mechanical devices that physically interact with the field or by electronic devices that quantifies and measures changes in the given environment.

    What did the Brownian movement or motion prove to the science world?

    I'm doing some research on Einstein and I'm not understanding what the Brownian movement is and what was so significant about it. I've been online for two hours now and I'm not doing to good so can someone help me out here and try to put it in the simplest terms that you can..ThanksWhat did the Brownian movement or motion prove to the science world?Brownian movement is the zig-zag pattern of movement observed of an object in a liquid caused by particles (atoms and molecules) bouncing off the object itself (object must be very small: i.e. Robert Brown observed pollen). Einstein used this set of experiments, done by Robert Brown, to show that particles (atoms) existed in a time when this issue was still widely disputed. A good book to look at is "Einstein: His Life and Universe" by Walter Isaacson. Many of Einstein's greatest works are discussed in the book and you would find it very helpful. What did the Brownian movement or motion prove to the science world?As you know, Brownian motion is the natural movement of microscopic particles. This basically remained a theory until Einstein conducted quantitative experiments on it.

    The following reference should help you out regarding everyday applications of Brownian motion:

    What happens during the apparent retrograde motion of a planet?

    a. The planet appears to move eastward with respect to the stars over a period of many nights.

    b. The planet moves backward through the sky.

    c. The planet moves backward in its orbit around the Sun.

    d. The planet moves through constellations that are not part of the zodiac.

    e. The planet rises in the west and sets in the east.What happens during the apparent retrograde motion of a planet?a

    A planet is in retrograde when observations from earth appear to show the planet moving backward - but the planet doesn't change directions. It stays going the same orbital path. What causes the retrograde movement (Mars especially) is that Mars has a much larger orbit around the Sun. Therefore for at certain times of the year it appears to move backward as the Earth travels around the Sun faster.What happens during the apparent retrograde motion of a planet?Normal movement of the planets against the background stars is from west to east. Retrograde motion occurs on occasions when the Earth is passing by the planet in question in a manner that makes it appear to move westward, or backward, against the background stars. I do not like any of these answers, although b is perhaps the best of the marginal choices. I say this because it is not really moving backward - it just appears that way.What happens during the apparent retrograde motion of a planet?(I hope I am not doing someone's homework for them.)

    Isn't it the moon which is "a" type movement? B seems to me to best describe retrograde motion, depending upon the definition of "sky" being the background of stars. Historically, when Mercury appeared to briefly move backward from its usual direction, e.g. in retrograde, many outrageous negative both human and natural events have occurred, much in excess of the law of averages. Theories, anyone? Regards, Larry.

    How does one make those motion picture avatars on MySpace?

    You know those avatars that repeat a video over and over. I think thaty are actually some sort of pictures but I don't know the name of them.

    I want to make my own but I can't figure out how to do it. I have a video on photobucket but I don't know how to make it play automatically and loop. Can anyone help me?How does one make those motion picture avatars on MySpace?Yes. Those avatars are .gif images. Gifs are layered images with a timed progression from one image to the next. Luckily, the process to make a gif is fairly easy. To convert a short video to gif, try gif ninja - www.gifninja.com I believe is the link to that site. Another site I like that allows you to change the timing for EACH frame is www.gifmake.com. However, that requires that you insert each frame one at a time.

    What I typically do is get all my images sequentially numbered, then put them into a .zip file. I upload the zip file to gifninja to create the initial gif (but timing is all the same). I take that gif and load it into gifmake and adjust individual timing to my liking.

  • What is the type of motion of a solid falling through a fluid medium ?

    will the solid attain terminal velocity %26amp; fall uniformly ? OR will it fall with accn. due to gravity ?What is the type of motion of a solid falling through a fluid medium ?Initially it will accelerate from zero. As it speeds up the resistance force provided by displcing the fluid will increase. Eventually this force will equal and oppose the force on the mass due to its weight. At this point we say the object has reached terminal velocity.

    The value of this is dependent on the mass, density and shape of the object, and the density and viscosity of the liquid.

    Once a 25 kg crate is in motion on a horizontal floor, a horizontal force of 52 N keeps the crate moving with?

    Once a 25 kg crate is in motion on a horizontal

    floor, a horizontal force of 52 N keeps the crate

    moving with a constant velocity.

    The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s2 .

    What is 渭k, the coefficient of kinetic fric-

    tion, between the crate and the floor?Once a 25 kg crate is in motion on a horizontal floor, a horizontal force of 52 N keeps the crate moving with?渭k= Ff/Fn

    Fn = m x g = 25 x 9.81 = 245.25N

    Since the crate is moving with a constant velocity, it is neither speeding up nor slowing down, so the Fa = Ff so 52N = 52N. Therefore:

    Ff = 52N

    渭k= Ff/Fn

    = 52N/245.25N

    = 0.212

    Hope this helps and hope to be voted the best answer! :D

    How do you use circular motion equations to solve this problem?

    Mars has a mass of one tenth that of Earth and a diameter half that of Earth. The acceleration of a falling body near the surface of Mars is...?

    Please don't give me an answer, give me a process. Thank you~How do you use circular motion equations to solve this problem?Go to the equation for the gravitational force:

    F= m(Mars)*m(object)*G / r(Mars)^2

    Assuming that its the only force acting on the object, and knowing that the sum of the forces on an object equals the mass of the object times the acceleration of the object, we can set these equal so that we have:

    m(Mars)*m(object)*G / r(Mars)^2 = m(object)*a(object)

    Now, notice that the mass of the object is found on both sides of the equation - so we can factor it out to get:

    m(Mars)*G / r(Mars)^2 = a(object)

    We know what G is - its just a constant. The mass of Mars is 1/10 = 0.1 times the mass of Earth, so let's say:

    0.1m(Earth)*G / r(Mars)^2 = a(object)

    Now we use the fact that the diameter of Mars is half that of Earth. This means that the radius of Mars is half that of Earth. r(Mars) = 0.5*r(Earth) But! It's squared. We have to square the 0.5 as well so we get r(Mars)^2 = 0.25*r(Earth)^2. Now we have:

    0.1m(Earth)*G / (0.25*r(Earth)^2) = a(object)

    Look at this carefully. We know that the acceleration of an object close to the Earth's surface is 9.8 m/s^2. That is:

    m(Earth)*G / r(Earth)^2 = 9.8 m/s^2

    In our equation above, we have an extra 0.1/0.25 = 0.4 out front. This is fraction should be multiplied by 9.8 m/s^2 to get the answer!

    0.4*9.8 m/s^2 = 3.92 m/s^2

    Hope that made sense!How do you use circular motion equations to solve this problem?Newton's law of gravitation will give you a force, Newton's second law of motion will allow you to use this force to find an acceleration.

    To adjust the mass of Mars and the radius of Mars for the equation... Mars is (Earth's Mass/ 10) and the radius is (Earth's radius/ 2).

    Assume a 1 kg mass for the second mass in the equation and the force is equal to the acceleration. You must divide by one to make sure you cancel out the proper units to end up with an answer in m/s^2How do you use circular motion equations to solve this problem?Let's keep it simple. The gravitation equation is:

    g = GM/r^2

    We are given:

    g(earth) = G*M(earth)/r(earth)^2 = 9.8 m/s^2

    M(mars)/M(earth) = 0.1

    r(mars)/r(earth) = 0.5

    And we can deduce:

    g(mars) = g(earth) * M(mars)/M(earth) / (r(mars)/r(earth))^2

    Is that sufficient?

  • Methods of transferring motion to the wheels with 2 wheel drive, front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive?

    What methods do 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive and front wheel drive cars use to transfer motion to the wheels, what are the advantages and disadvantages of each.Methods of transferring motion to the wheels with 2 wheel drive, front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive?Taking automotive classes I see, and not wanting to read the book? Well, even though this question would fit better in homework help than here...

    2 wheel drive refers to a vehicle where only 2 of the wheels are driven. This can refer to both front wheel drive, and rear wheel drive and only means 2 wheels are powered.

    In the case of rear wheel drive (as in most pickup trucks) there is a drive shaft that comes from the transmission to the rear end which goes through a ring gear to drive the rear tires.

    Front wheel drive uses a trans-axle system with two axles to drive the front tires.

    4 wheel drive is just that, all four tires are driven. Sometimes by means of 2 drive shafts with a system to switch between 2 and 4 wheel drive, although some cars are always on, on demand type systems which typically put power to a wheel that is not slipping.

    Advantages of all wheel drive, chances are you won't get stuck. For the differences between front and rear wheel drive, just go look here: http://www.all-about-car-selection.com/r鈥?/a>

    Disadvantages: Cost and maintenance. The more you add, the more that go wrong and needs to be maintained.Methods of transferring motion to the wheels with 2 wheel drive, front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive?Rear wheel drive= drives rear wheels from transmissions via drive shaft and rear differential. The pluses are better handling in dry weather due to better weight dstribution and maximum towing capacity. The minuses are that you have less control in bad weather, power transfer is somewhat less due to loss of it while being transferred through the drivehshaft and differential before reaching the rear wheels, less interior space due to driveshaft.

    Front wheel drive= Drive wheels are directly connected through transmission through axles. The pluses are better control in bad weather than rear wheel drive (since the drive wheels are the steering wheels), improved fuel economy, space efficient due to lack of drive shaft and rear differential. that makes it easier to add more interior and storage space. The minuses are less than stellar handling since the car the car is front heavy, traction suffers also since engine and transmission both rest on drive axles/wheels, not always easy to service since engine is mounted sideways.

    Four wheel drive= All four wheels are driven via drive shafts front and rear differentials, and center differential. The pluses are superior traction in all weather, great weight balance, awesome handling (depending on system). The minuses are lower fuel economy, higher maintenance/repair costs, not always easy to service. Also, consider that there are different types of four wheel drive systems. There is the standard four wheel drive system- which can also have manual or automatic locking wheel hubs; Electronic 4 wheel drive that can be switched into four wheel drive at the push of a button; And All Wheel Drive which is a system that generally runs in front or rear wheel drive and automatically switches into four wheel drive when the system detects that there is traction lost in the drive wheels. There are also All Wheel Drive systems that stay in 4 wheel drive all of the time. The main difference between All Wheel Drive and the other 4 Wheel Drive systems is that All Wheel drive generally does not offer a low Four Wheel Drive range. It is suited more for bad weather pavement driving than off-road traction, yet it still can be used on light off-road terrain. I hope this helps.

    You may want to check the law in your area. In many jurisdictions, a summons must be served by a licensed processed server, law enforcement officer, or officer of the court. A "civilian" in many areas cannot complete service of a summons, neighbor or no, even for Small Claims. (But in some areas, they can.)

    In any event, a motion to quash a summons means that they are asking to not have to appear. Your question is a little confusing, but it sounds like you (or the owner) has an appearance date. That date should be kept by you (or the owner,) regardless of what the tenants have filed, unless you have received specific instruction from the court to not appear.

    A motion to quash, if it has not been approved by the judge presiding, can be appealed. But you need to find out how to do that.

    Edited to add: So how, then, are you involved with this. If your name is nowhere on the paperwork, how did you become involved? Did the owner show you the paperwork, or the tenant defendant? Whoever filed the suit has an obligation to appear. Anyone else does not, unless named in or by the summons. (Though you may go if the owner or the tenant asked you to come. And you may almost certainly show up at the proceeding anyway as a spectator if you want to.)

    Now, if YOU have been summoned because they want to quash the motion on the grounds that you are the actual plaintiff, then you must respond. Otherwise, let the plaintiff named on the paperwork handle it. (Unless, as above, the owner has asked you as the manager to come and help respond to it.)

    It sounds to me like it is time you spoke to a lawyer in your jurisdiction about this.

    But, in any event, you can always call the court to confirm whether or not YOU have an obligation to appear.Tenants filed motion to quash and lied what can i do?have the neighbor complete a Declaration and file it with the court...if you can prove your side .....don't sweat....Tenants filed motion to quash and lied what can i do?Not really a big issue. Most judges are pretty smart people and can see the whole picture. They also know tenants often lie to get out of being evicted. Stand firm and just have everything it writing and you should be fine.Tenants filed motion to quash and lied what can i do?
    Go to court. Some where in all that paperwork will be a place for the person who did the actual service to sign a statement that he did so. You have to dispute their version and since they made a written statement that you are the plaintiff, which is obviously wrong, their other statements will carry less weight. Just make sure the server fills out and signs the paperwork.

    How does increasing the initial velocity affect the motion of a projectile?

    how does increasing the initial velocity affect the motion of a projectile? I'm writing a paper in physics, and couldn't find the answer in the book. a little help please??How does increasing the initial velocity affect the motion of a projectile?If you increase the initial velocity you increase both the initial vertical component of velocity and the horizontal velocity component..

    Higher vertical component means it goes higher before falling back.

    Higher vertical velocity means it's in the air longer.

    Higher horizontal velocity means it goes farther before it hits the ground.

  • I need help filling out a legal form called a Notice of Motion?

    I am preparing a pro se Motion to Reconsider / Reargue in Nassau County (NY) Supreme Court in a matrimonial matter, namely division of property. In re-filing my Motion, the Court asked me to fill in 3 more forms: a Notice of Motion, an Affidavit and an Affidavit of Service. I don't know what goes in some of the blanks. If you know of a web-page that would be helpful, let me know. PLease help. Thanks a heap!I need help filling out a legal form called a Notice of Motion?They are pretty simple in idea -- notice of motion is simply a form letting the other side know you are bringing a motion, what the motion is, when and where it will be heard.

    An affidavit is any sworn statement testifying to facts. The affidavit of service just swears that you properly provided notice to the other side -- the trick is knowing what constitutes enough notice, and how it has to be served.

    As to what the judge wants an affidavit for, it is hard to know. If you stated any facts in your motion, you need to provide an affidavit swearing to the facts you know, and swearing that any documents you submitted as evidence are true and correct copies.I need help filling out a legal form called a Notice of Motion?Man, if you screw those up it will be a major problem for you. Go hire an attorney. I tried to find some templates online but unfortunately there isn't anything to show you how.

    What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?

    The definition for kinetic energy is atoms moving around (movement)

    And the defininition for Brownian motions is also movement.

    What's the difference?

    Thanks!What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?No. The definition of kinetic energy is E=(1/2)mv^2.What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?
    Kinetic energy is the energy associated with movement, this isnt necessarily just particles. It can be people, planets etc. Kinetic energy is a measure of how much energy the thing has in moving.

    Brownian motion is the word used to describe the random movement of small particles moving under thermal motion. Each of these particles has kinetic energy, given to it by the thermal energy of the system, so they dart about randomly.What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?The real difference is that KE means energy derived from motion. Browning motion is motion or movement. And that's all it is; no energy connotation.

    Brownian motion is usually attributed to the random movement of gas molecules as they are caused to move by heat energy. In turn, that random motion (random velocity) is manifest as a level of temperature, which is simply a measure of net average kinetic energy of the molecules.

    So your definition "atoms moving around (movement)" is not the definition of KE. I don't know where you got that definition, but if I were you, I'd go back to my text and notes and revisit the definition of kinetic energy.What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?
    Kinetic energy is 1/2 m v^2 (simply)

    to be more precise, if you have a collection of things moving around - like in Brownian motion - the total K energy is KE= the sum of all individual KE's

    and remember v is velocity which is a vector.

    So if you have a lump of matter that is itself stationary (relative to your frame of reference ) the KE will be zero because all the random "brownian" KE's cancel out.What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?The term kinetic energy refers to all kinds of motions (earth, plane, nuclear radiation ...) and has an exact value. Brownian motion is a certain motion, observed in small particles and molecules. The particles may have kinetic energy due to Brownian motion.What is the difference between Brownian motion and Kinetic energy?
    Kinetic Energy (in gases) is a result of Brownian motion of molecules.

Do I have to state in the notice of motion whether or not a written opposition is required?Is a written opposition required by the creditors to my notice of motion to confirm chapter 13 repayment plan?No-the court has discretion to conclude whether your Chapter 13 will work. Hence, whether a party opposes it is a factor, but not a dispositive factor. If the court doesn't feel you can successfully complete the plan in 3-5 years, it will boot you out of a Ch. 13 and move you involuntarily into a Ch. 7. The one thing to remember is that you're 13 will fail if it doesn't give the creditors at least as much as a 7 would have. If it does not, you'll be booted to a 7. How do i reduce motion blur on my dsc - t77?

    I read online at that there is an option for reducing motion blur and i found that your supposed to do change the mode to high Iso and i did, but when i movie it to test it out it still come out blurry am i doing something wrong ???How do i reduce motion blur on my dsc - t77?Assuming there is nothing wrong with your camera (there may be), stand with your feet about 2' a part, hold your camera in the hand you use (right handed?) tuck your elbow into your body, aim and shoot..this will reduce your movement as you shoot. Practice until you reach a point where YOU do not move while shooting pictures...this is very important, no matter how fast that shutter is going off. BUT if you set the camera on a table, etc., take a picture and it is still blurry, there is somethign wrong with your camera....it is not focusing! Good luck

    Can you recommend any camera's that use stop motion when they record videos?

    I'm looking for a nice camera but on a budget. 300 and less. One that takes high quality pictures, and has stop motion when you record. Or if you know if there is a video camera that uses stop motion. Please help me out? Thank you! %26lt;3Can you recommend any camera's that use stop motion when they record videos?Stop motion is a terminology carry over from the days of motion picture film. Movies don't move, they are a sequence of still photos that are projected on the screen in sequence, and give the illusion of motion. If you had a MP camera that can expose one frame at a time then you can create the illusion of motion to non-animate objects by moving their position slightly between shots.

    Video, or at least digital video cameras do not work by taking individual frames. They take a group of frames (GOF) and then compress that down to 1 frame plus a set of interpolation instructions that allow playback of the entire GOF. Thus you can not do stop motion with a modern video camera.

    You can do stop motion with a digital still camera. ideally use one with manual settings as you do not want it to reset focus or exposure values between shots. Computer software can then take a sequence of JPEG photos and stitch them together to make a video file.

    Describe the sun's Apparent diurnal motion in terms if it's path , direction and rate of movement.Describe the sun's Apparent diurnal motion in terms if it's path , direction and rate of movement?The place on the horizon where the sun is first visible each morning is different each day of the year. In general the location is to the East but it is farther North on dates closer to June 21st and farther South on dates closer to December 21st. This difference in where the sun rises is caused by the tilt of the axis of rotation of the Earth to the plane of the orbit of the Earth around the Sun.

    How did Copernicus eventually solve the problem of "retrograde motion"?

    How did Copernicus eventually solve the problem of "retrograde motion"--the apparently irregular motion of the planets as they appear against the field of stars?

    a. By re-envisioning planetary orbits as circles, instead of ellipses.

    b. By re-envisioning planetary orbits as ellipses, instead of circles.

    c. By placing the earth at the center of his model of the universe.

    d. By removing the earth from the center of his model of the universe.How did Copernicus eventually solve the problem of "retrograde motion"?The answer is D, by having the earth orbiting the sun, the retrograde motion was resolved as retrograde motion was found to result from the Earth catching up with an outer planets orbit then overtaking it here's the textbook explaination

    "Since Earth's orbital period is shorter than that of a superior planet, the Earth overtakes a superior planet and passes it. This occurs while the planet's configuration changes from western quadrature through opposition to eastern quadrature. During this period of passing, the planet appears to temporarily interrupt its normal eastward motion relative to the stars and move westward. This countermotion is known as retrograde motion, in which the superior planet executes a closed or open loop and then continues its usual path eastward relative to the stars. Relative to the Earth-Sun line, however, it is moving toward an area of the sky east of the Sun"

    Can a body spinning about its own axis, be able to move (translational motion) along a straight line?

    Suppose a body is spinning about its own axis, and it is free to follow its path. Now what we get to see that such bodies (along with the spin) tends to move in a circular path. In any case, is it possible, that the translational motion the body shows be along a straight line? Explain.Can a body spinning about its own axis, be able to move (translational motion) along a straight line?Yes.

    Bodies in space tend to orbit one another because of the effect of gravity.

    This is why they move in a circular path (gravity), not because they are spinning.

    Two meteors can be spinning about their respective axes and be moving in a straight line toward each other.

    Another example:

    try spinning a (heavy) top on a relatively frictionless surface (such as a wet, glass-top table) and then tilt the table so that the top slides down. In the absence of friction the top will move straight down the table top (in a straight line).

    Another example:

    A pinball in a pinball machine will roll straight down the table if it is not given an initial push.Can a body spinning about its own axis, be able to move (translational motion) along a straight line?i think if the direction of motion coincides with the rotational axis, maybe? like a bullet?

Does anybody know how to do it or know a website that can give step by step instructions?How To Do You Do Stop Motion In imovie?The ideo of stop motion is just that you put fotos next to each other on the timeline. They should be played back at a rate of 1 or 2 frames per second. So for a 4 second animation, you will 50 fotos of your stop motion project. Put them in a folder and import the entire folder into your imovie timeline. Make sure the filenames of the fotos are numerical, so that they are in the right order 1 2 3 4 5... Okay so i just saw that you cannot make pictures that short in imovie, you need somethin like final cut pro. In file, project prefernces in imovie you can only make fotos play for as short as 1 sec, so that is way too long to do stop motion on, Try getting better editing software.

    When an object in simple harmonic motion is at its maximum displacement, what quantity is also at a maximum?

    Which one of the following quantities is at a maximum when an object in simple harmonic motion is at its maximum displacement?

    - speed

    -acceleration

    -kinetic energy

    -frequency

    It cant be speed because at its maximum wouldn't speed be zero, and it cant be acceleration either. Help is appreciated. Potential energy would be pretty high at its maximum displacement but its not an optionWhen an object in simple harmonic motion is at its maximum displacement, what quantity is also at a maximum?You're right, potential energy is at its maximum when displacement is maxed out. There is another correct answer.

    HINT: what is the acceleration of a ball tossed in the air when it is at its maximum height? It's g (-9.8 m/s^2), even though it's at rest at that instant. Now with simple harmonic motion, the acceleration isn't constant like it is with projectile motion but I mention it to show acceleration can be nonzero when velocity is zero.

    When the displacement is at its maximum, so is the restoring force. That's true whether it's a pendulum (restoring force = gravity), a spring (restoring force = spring force), or something else. Because F = ma, when the restoring force is maximized, so is acceleration.When an object in simple harmonic motion is at its maximum displacement, what quantity is also at a maximum?I'm with you. I'd vote for potential energy if it were on the list.

    How to use the Vertical Motion Formula?

    For Example:

    A rock is dropped from a tree 240 feet above the ground. How long does it take the rock to hit a branch 24 feet above the ground? Use the vertical motion formula.How to use the Vertical Motion Formula?the ehight above the ground is given vy the equation:

    h(t) = 240 - 16t^2

    plug in any 't' and it will give you the height.

    To solve for a height, set the equation equal to that number and find 't'

    your example would be

    240 - 16 t^2 = 24

    (you will get two answers, it is time, so only use the positive)

    How to use the Vertical Motion Formula?If the vertical motion formula from physics is the one you're using then we will use x = vt + .5at^2

    Our starting is 240 and ending is 24. Making distance (x) = 216

    Since the rock is just being dropped we assume the starting speed is zero so velocity (v) = 0

    We are in free fall with no outside force so acceleration (a) = 9.8m/s^2

    216 = .5(9.5)t^2

    Rearrange the equation and solve for t. It should be about 6.63 seconds.

  • How to build a perpetual motion motor ?

    I want to learn how to make a perpetual motion motor if someone could help me out on how to build one that would be great

    ThanksHow to build a perpetual motion motor ?It's impossible. You see, entropy is the result of the passage of time in a sense and the only way according to relativity to go back in time is to travel faster than light which is impossible due to inertial mass. There is a speed of light for a reason. Try pushing a cart from 0 mph to 10 mph; it accelerates pretty quickly, but it becomes increasingly difficult the faster you go and it takes an infinite amount of energy to accelerate a mass to the speed of light and infinite energy is impossible. So it's impossible to go at the speed of light with a mass let alone faster than light. Therefore time travel to the past is impossible, and therefore reversing entropy is impossible because entropy is a function of time in a sense. This may all seem irrelevant, but it is completely relevant and helps you to have a better understanding of why perpetual motion is impossible. A concise explanation would be that perpetual motion is impossible due to entropy. *All* of the supposed "perpetual motion machines" operate by the transference of motion and therefore do not violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics. Perpetual motion machines are an illusion.

    EDIT: The link that "NTH IQ" posted to the "perpetual motion" machine isn't a perpetual motion machine at all, this machine again operates on the transference of motion.How to build a perpetual motion motor ?
    According to the laws of thermodynamics, they are impossible. Many of the greatest minds have tried and failed, even though some ideas were very clever. Perpetual motion means that no energy can be lost from the system, and friction must be eliminated 100%, which is impossible with current technology. Even lubrication does not help, since heat is transferred to the lubricant and then lost to the surroundings.

    It works for some people, but not all. If it's affecting you after only 10 minutes of play, a Dramamine tablet probably won't do much for you... plus, you'd need to take it at least half an hour before playing for full effect, and it's unlikely that it will prevent the headaches.

    KE = (1/2)Mv^2 = (1/2)(55)(6^2) = 990 J

    Kr = (1/2)Iw^2

    where I = the moment of inertia and w = the amgular rotation rate

    I = (1/2)Mr^2 = (1/2)(55)(0.2^2) = 1.1

    w =v/r = 6/.2 = 30

    Kr = (1/2)(1.1)(30^2) = 495 J

    Work required = KE + Kr = 990 + 495 J

    Why is my HD TV grainy when there is fast motion on the screen?

    When ever I'm on an HD channel, if there is a very fast motion on the show I'm watching, the picture will get grainy and pix elated a little bit. It is really annoying, and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with it. Please help. What could this be. Is that just how HD TVs are?Why is my HD TV grainy when there is fast motion on the screen?RT is right. It's not your TV, it's a problem with the original encoding. Digital TV uses Mpeg-2 compression, the same thing that's on DVDs.

    Mpeg compression depends heavily on motion detection for reducing the data rate. The process works by starting with an initial frame, called an I-frame, and then in succeeding frames noting where image features move, in units of 8x8 blocks. It then encodes just this "motion vector", with a code representing a delta-x and delta-y for the whole 8x8 block.

    This gives enormous compression, and works well as long as substantial areas of the scene are relatively stable or changing in a slow, smooth manner. Fast action scenes cause major problems for this motion prediction scheme. As long as there are plenty of bits to go around, its not a big issue. But if the encoder is starved for bits, then you get the kind of effects that you're seeing.

    I'd suggest that you complain to your provider about this, since they are responsible for it. If they don't hear from their customers, then they may feel they can just cram more channels in their signal without worrying about quality. You're paying for "all digital quality", so you should demand that they provide sufficient bandwidth to deliver it.Why is my HD TV grainy when there is fast motion on the screen?Are you on cable or satellite?

    That is usually caused by too low of a bit rate for the amount of motion (the picture is not updating fast enough). This is a problem on the transmission side, it's not your TV.

    More data takes more room in the signal. Cable and satellite are notorious for compressing (cutting back on the amount of data) to make room for more channels.

    Sometimes this effect also happens from over the air TV stations that are operating a number of sub-channels, although the station engineers usually make an effort to avoid this.

    I want to see the new Anne Hathaway movie "Rachel Getting Married" but I've heard mixed reviews that parts of it are shot in the first person wobbly camera.

  • What camera should I get for photography/stop motion?

    I'm a beginner and I would like to get a camera for photography and stop motion. I don't want the most expensive camera, but just one that works well, lasts a long time, and is easy to use.

    Also, I need to know where to get it. Thanks :)What camera should I get for photography/stop motion?I just looked at the manual for Nikon D3000 and on page 151 and 152 there are instructions on just how to do that with the D3000. I am sure other newer dSLR's have the same features

    Cost? Under $550 with 18-55 mm lensWhat camera should I get for photography/stop motion?the canon g12 has a timer function on it.. stop motiom you can also achieve by changing the scene each time you make a picture.What camera should I get for photography/stop motion?The fact that you said that your a beginner i wouldn't recommend a slr like everyone around here does. Number one they are very expensive for someone that is just starting out and two you probably wont know how to use it because there are many different options on it. For you i would recommend a high power zoom camera. Which is like a point and shoot but you will get better picture quality and of course higher zoom. I currently own the Sony cybershot DSC h-20 I love it. But its a year old so you might have to go with the newer edition of it which is the h55. These cameras will take great stop action photos. I have taken many stop action photos with mine and they look great. If you don't want a sony canon makes comparable ones like the powershot sx120 and sx 130. You can find all of these at like a target or bestbuy.

    What settings do I need for a stop motion on a Nikon D3000?

    I go to the menu and when I scroll over stop-motion movie it says that option is not available with my current settings. I just need to know what to change, thank you!What settings do I need for a stop motion on a Nikon D3000?The way this works: U can take up to 100 images and put them together to make a movie. If U don't have images on the card or if U don't have sufficient space on the memory card, U can't access the option.

    So, take up to 100 images *first* and then try the menu.

    Can I have a full, normal, range of motion after a dislocated shoulder surgery?

    I have been told that after such a surgery, I will not be able to have a normal range of motion in my shoulder. Is that true?Can I have a full, normal, range of motion after a dislocated shoulder surgery?Although it depends on the severity of the original dislocation, there are specific exercises designated to a patient via physical therapist that can help you recover this. If done daily, you should be able to get a nearly normal range of motion. It may not be as perfect as you originally started, but it can return to a functional state. Consult your surgeon.Can I have a full, normal, range of motion after a dislocated shoulder surgery?That depends on the amount of time and effort you are prepared to apply to the problem.

    If you are prepared to apply LOTS of time and effort read http://www.helium.com/tm/148271 for the basic how to fix it information.

    Why does my Dell D600 go into slow motion all of a sudden?

    So I'll use my computer and everything will be normal and if I'm watching a move or listening to music or anything that requires buffering from the internet the computer will eventually after about 10 minutes go into slow motion. Someone told me it was because my ram is burned out and I can feel it's really hot under my computer. But does anyone have any other ideas. When i restart it again it goes back to normal for about another 10 minutes.Why does my Dell D600 go into slow motion all of a sudden?Scan for malware. If that doesn't do it try adding more RAM. Here's a link to the service manual http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/sy鈥?/a>

    But I'd buy the RAM from newegg.com it's less expensive there.

  • Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?

    Hello, a while back I purchased a Nikon Coolpix L10 camera (I believe it was) and found myself quite satisfied with pictures of still objects. However, as the majority of my photography is of trains in motion, and I do not have more than $150 to spend on a digital camera, do you have a recommendation for such a unit that will not result in blur when I take pictures of moving objects? I returned the camera a few days after purchase.Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?If the train tracks are parallel to a car road, have someone drive alongside the train while you take pictures from the car. That way the relative speed between you and the train is zero, plus the ground will have a cool blurring effect. Obey all traffic laws and drive defensively. Also, take pictures on sunny days with the sun behind you. To answer your question though, I've been happy with the Fujifilm Finepix F10 because it has a larger sensor than most compact digital cameras to collect more light. It might help you.Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?
    umm try the hp photosmart lineFinding a digital camera that does not blur motion?$150 will buy you the most awesome Kodak DX7630 with the Schneider lens. It has a full manual mode as well as shutter priority!

    Keep those shutter speeds up and you will never have a blurry train again.Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?
    A high shutter speed does not always guarantee that you'll stop motion. Shutter speed is determined by the ISO chosen and the f-stop you choose and the light available.

    So if you're out on an overcast day and trying to use a low ISO of, say, 100 and need a lot of depth of field, perhaps using f8 or f11, your shutter speed will be too low to stop motion. Of course you can increase the ISO and lose image quality or open up a couple of stops to f4 and sacrifice depth of field.Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?With only $150? Not really much I can suggest. But dont purchase another Nikon point and shoot. Out of every point and shoot camera theirs is the hardest to understnad. What you need to do is go to a camera sotre and Im not talking Best Buy or any such place like that. Im talking about a store that deals sepcifically in cameras. Tell them you need a point and shoot camera that has a high shutter speed. Getting a camera that has such will help you take better motion pictures. But really you should spend the money and get a professional Digital SLR. You can get them for good money if you know what you are looking for. Stick with well known camera names also. Nikon, Pentax, Canon and so on.Finding a digital camera that does not blur motion?
    Make sure the next camera you buy is at least 1/1500 of a second to 1/2000 sec.

    Check specs out on Website dpreview.com

    Both Canons go to 1/2000 sec. Canon A560, Canon A570 IS

    As far as digital SLRs, they start around $500-
