I know others have said they wouldnt buy a used carseat, but not everyone can afford to purchase a new one. I'd go half. How much would you pay for a used travel system?
Most folks won't buy the car seat. It's not safe. Plus the Eddie Bauer were recalled for handle defaults very recently (December 2009.) Since you shouldn't use a car seat attached to a stroller, that would basically mean the car seat is worthless. Not as sure about the bases. The car seat cover is nice but most folks don't buy them anyway, and the Bundle Me is nice, but again not many people buy one (and since you should only be using the carseat in the car, it's not like it's that necessary.)
So basically you're selling the stroller, about $80, and the car seat cover, about $40. So maybe $50 for the two of them. How much would you pay for a used travel system? The problem with selling a car seat is that unless you know the person you are selling to, they will never 100% trust the car seat has never been in a crash. So many people try to sell expired car seats and seats that have been in minor crashes that craigslist is going to fetch you a low price.
You'd be lucky to get $50... used is used and a lot of people are getting away from large bulky strollers now.How much would you pay for a used travel system?
I just sold my daughters Graco travel system with 2 bases for $60 on Craigslist last week. Hers had a few scuffs and a couple stains on the seat, so if yours is in like new condition I would say start at $80-$85 and see what people offer you.How much would you pay for a used travel system?I paid 75.00 for mine on craigslist. It was in gret shape other than the fact I needed to wipe it down. I wouldn't go over 100.00 because there are so many on there and there are a lot of new ones you can purchase for 130.00
Good luck! How much would you pay for a used travel system?
i wouldnt pay much seeing as how i wouldnt use it for the car seat purposes, just as a stroller, maybe $20 if the stroller is in good condition
I wouldn't buy a used car seat.
