Whirlpool washer fills up water but does not start the spin motion of the agitator.Do you why this happens ?

I tried after removing all the water and after removing the load.



Water fills up but the agitation does not start.

There is just a humming noise.



Please let me know if you have any solution of this issue.



Also let me know how to open the washer. This is a top loadingmodel and not more than 3 years old.

It is in the bottom of the washer. Flip the washer on its side and you will be able to work on it, but its not easy. Or if its real old just get a new washer. Run it's cycles while watching it from the back. If the belt is not broken or worn or loose you will see the pump leaking when the drain cycle is running.
