Did anyone hear why John Fuller is leaving KSDK channel 5 St. Louis weather ?

I heard John Fuller is leaving the team of KSDK channel 5 . I have always thought he was a good weather broadcaster. Has anyone heard why he is leaving?Did anyone hear why John Fuller is leaving KSDK channel 5 St. Louis weather ?
I read in Deb Peterson's gossip column in the Post Dispatch that John was asked to take a pay cut in order to stay with KSDK. I too thought he was a good weather person. Better than perky Cindy. She doesn't even know how to pronounce Missouri town names after all this time. I wish John Fuller good luck.
If cut backs are the reason he is leaving, I will no longer watch channel 5. We have been faithful viewers for 25 years and have seen many personalities come and go. In all that time, Cindy Preszler is one of the few that we find to be unbelievably annoying. She is not a warm person and that shows onscreen. She is way too full of herself and tries to dramatize even the most innocuous of weather situations. And I'm sure her salary is much higher than the underling meteorologists. I heard that KSDK told him and one other (not sure who) that they would have to take a pay cut to keep their jobs and he opted not to. Its unfortunate. I really liked that guy.
