What is the type of motion of a solid falling through a fluid medium ?

will the solid attain terminal velocity %26amp; fall uniformly ? OR will it fall with accn. due to gravity ?What is the type of motion of a solid falling through a fluid medium ?Initially it will accelerate from zero. As it speeds up the resistance force provided by displcing the fluid will increase. Eventually this force will equal and oppose the force on the mass due to its weight. At this point we say the object has reached terminal velocity.

The value of this is dependent on the mass, density and shape of the object, and the density and viscosity of the liquid.
