Outdoor motion sensor camera that you can view on a PC - recommendations?

There's been a rise in thefts from cars in our neighborhood and we'd like to install a single-camera system (either in the tree outside our house or under the eaves or our house) where an outdoor motion sensor camera is only triggered by movement, the pictures of the people would be recognizable (even at night), and where we could see the pictures on a PC. Do you have any suggestions, recommendations, things to note, things to avoid.
