What camera should I get for photography/stop motion?

I'm a beginner and I would like to get a camera for photography and stop motion. I don't want the most expensive camera, but just one that works well, lasts a long time, and is easy to use.

Also, I need to know where to get it. Thanks :)What camera should I get for photography/stop motion?I just looked at the manual for Nikon D3000 and on page 151 and 152 there are instructions on just how to do that with the D3000. I am sure other newer dSLR's have the same features

Cost? Under $550 with 18-55 mm lensWhat camera should I get for photography/stop motion?the canon g12 has a timer function on it.. stop motiom you can also achieve by changing the scene each time you make a picture. What camera should I get for photography/stop motion? The fact that you said that your a beginner i wouldn't recommend a slr like everyone around here does. Number one they are very expensive for someone that is just starting out and two you probably wont know how to use it because there are many different options on it. For you i would recommend a high power zoom camera. Which is like a point and shoot but you will get better picture quality and of course higher zoom. I currently own the Sony cybershot DSC h-20 I love it. But its a year old so you might have to go with the newer edition of it which is the h55. These cameras will take great stop action photos. I have taken many stop action photos with mine and they look great. If you don't want a sony canon makes comparable ones like the powershot sx120 and sx 130. You can find all of these at like a target or bestbuy.
