Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??

I am fasinated by perpetual motion and free energy, and i think that there would be a way to create energy by the waves. I have a few ideas but would appriciate more.Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??I think tidal energy is close to this, since the sun and moon will always be there for a long period of time. Although it seems that there are only a limited number of places that can harness this type of energy due to geographic reasons.Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??
Clever as your idea may be, I am sorry to have to tell you it is not a new idea. The people of the Netherlands, France, and Spain built grinding mills powered by ocean waves as far back as the 14th Century.

If you will be additionally clever enough to use the Internet, you will find that an internet search on "power from ocean waves" yields thousands of good hits on web information about both ancient and the most modern methods.Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??It won't be free. Capturing energy from tides or waves requires capital.

In most business, investments are made with borrowed money. There is interest to be paid on that money.

If you use your own money, you have to consider the interest that you could have made if you did not invest in energy from waves.

Consider this example. Suppose that it costs $1,000,000 in equipment and engineering to build your device in a scale that is economical. You could have made $50,000 per year putting the money in safe CD's. You have to make double that in energy to even consider it, given that there is risk involved. That means that you need $100,000 in profit, after you pay salaries and expenses.Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??
Free energy....what a joke! People whine and complain about 10 cent per kwh electricity (which will keep 10 lights going for an hour) and think little of spending $3 for a designer coffee at Starbucks or $15 for a movie and popcorn and drink, $2-3 for a stupid ring tone for their phone....which they change weekly. Energy is still a bargain, see what living in a cave and growing all your food with no fertilizer or tractor is like. As has been stated, there are many ideas for how to harness wave energy that are currently being scaled up to various degrees. You can't make this work on a small scale...the savings aren't enough given the cost of the equipment needed. Economy of scale will make this work but a decent payback probably requires a multi-hundred million dollar plant out of site offshore (10 miles) and it won't be free by a long ways!Any ideas of how you could use the perpetual motion of the sea waves to create free energy??the efficiency is very low...so forget it...
