How can I overcome motion sickness?

I get motion sick. It really stinks. I always end up throwing up or something in a car, bus, carnival ride etc. I want to know if there is anyway to overcome it. I tried medicine it doesn't work. How can I overcome motion sickness?Unfortunately, there isn't a really good way to overcome motion sickness. The source of it is literally in your head- as it's a disagreement between what you eyes seen, the information about your position coming from your inner ear, and the pull of gravity on your tush. When those things don't agree, your brain gets confused and your belly revolts. In a car, the best spot is the front passenger seat, and staying focused on the path ahead. For a bus, it's pretty much the same. Sometimes you can also stay focused on things inside the vehicle, and make sure to turn your head slowly. You don't have to do carnival rides, and if you suffer that badly, it's probably best if you don't. In have to situations, there are some medications available by prescription that can help when the over the counter stuff doesn't. But nothing, unfortunately, is perfect. I don't do carnival rides myself for this reason. I suffered in cars and buses as a kid, not so much now, but still on the odd occasion I will still get queasy. I just stop until I can get back in control, and I don't ride with a full stomach. But unfortunately there are no cures- just prevention and avoidance.
