Take into consideration unplanned detours... even if you have maps and sat nav, I guarantee you ARE going to get lost at least once in the countryside and drive around in tears for an hour until you find a road sign... :-)

I think 700 km isn't very far, roads here are twisty and you will find that you go off the beaten track from time to time. $75 won't get you very far .... Share the cost with someone, you'll pay 3 times that easily, if not more.
