I am American, and I am planning a visiting Wales UK. I will be arriving in London on Sunday. What is the best way to travel from Heathrow air port to Wales or Manchester? What is the best way to travel from Heathrow air port to Wales or Manchester? You don't say which part of Wales which is a country within the U.K. If you're going to one of the major towns in south Wales like Newport,Cardiff or Swansea catch the air to rail bus from Heathrow
to Reading Station and then a First Great Western train. www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk
For North Wales destinations you'll need Virgin Trains from London Euston station www.virgintrains.co.uk. London Euston is also the departure point for trains to Manchester.
To reach Euston Station from Heathrow catch the Underground (Subway), You'll need to change trains at Green Park
If you intend to do a lot of travel by train around the U.K. a Britrail Pass will be far cheaper than buying individual tickets, but it must be purchased before arrival here www.britrail.com
Telephone (U.S. and Canada only) 1-866-BRITRAILWhat is the best way to travel from Heathrow air port to Wales or Manchester?Heathrow to Manchester ... take the underground from the airport to Euston station, then the train Euston to Manchester ... here's the tube map http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/s鈥?/a> ... train times etc here http://www.thetrainline.com/buytickets/?鈥?/a>
