What can I give my puppy to prevent motion sickness for road trips?

She gets very nervous and vomits. I put her in the crate but she is still jittery. Is there something I can give her to help her sleep? What can I give my puppy to prevent motion sickness for road trips?Start with small trips around the block and gradually increase the distance. Praise your puppy for staying calm in the crate. Sometimes it's just a puppy behavior/reaction and they'll grow out of it so you may just have to be patient. Good luck! P.S. If they're just a puppy it would be better to stay away from medication for sleep.

Edit: this is a post from a really great blog that I read. The person here is trying to get their new puppy used to the car and I think it would be worth it to read. http://bonniethecollie.com/

go to the vet. i'm sure they can give your dog a pill for itWhat can I give my puppy to prevent motion sickness for road trips?I have a dog that doesn't do well in the car too, I don't know if any medicine or something will help, but normally opening the window so they don't get too hot is good, also stop every once in a while and give her some time to walk around and let her drink water.

This is what I did: Would not allow food 3 hours before a trip, started on short trips 15 minute and working my way up, potty breaks for fresh air, and let her get some exercise before the trip..she might sleep during the drive. Good LuckWhat can I give my puppy to prevent motion sickness for road trips?Well if she throws up, you should give her ginger before the ride. And if she's scared, you should desensitize her to the car and to the ride.

Hope this helps! :)
