Yes, it does seem to occur more and more often. That happens to me a lot whenever I believe what they have to say. I've had similar situations in which thunderstorms have been forecasted for the whole seven days. Only one of those days had a thunderstorm. Every other day was either partly cloudy or sunny. That was years ago, and I learned to turn to a more reliable source. That would be the National Weather Service. They are the best by far.
By the way, when there is nothing on the radar and there are forecasted thunderstorms, that means that they can develop at anytime.
I recommend getting paying more attention to the NWS forecasts. Plus, the NWS has plenty of useful information, like watches and warnings.
